As we gear up for World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st, we are dedicating this month to recognizing all of the beauty and talent that people with Down Syndrome possess while also driving awareness to the lack of opportunity and equality for people with Down Syndrome.People with Down Syndrome are still 5 times as likely to be bullied or excluded in school. Becca has been working at EVERYBODY now for nearly a year (with periodicalinterruptions due to Covid restrictions) and it has been amazing to witness. Herskills have multiplied considerably just by being in a new environment where sheis gently challenged and supported with kindness and patience. To me, this showsthat employment, in the correct way, is possible and beneficial to everyone. Shehas learned to use a computer, even with her very limited reading skills. On a side note, I notice how many people take reading for granted and assume that most people can read, which is quite often not the case....

I started working there as of September 2019, I stock shelves and sanitizing throughout the day. I also fill orders and sell a lot of skincare products.
